Notice About Donations

POSITIVE IMPACT
Hi everyone! 🙂 We sincerely appreciate your ongoing support and contributions to Churches Thrift Shop. Your generosity helps us make a positive impact in our community and allows us to continue providing affordable and sustainable options for everyone.

SELLABLE CONDITION PLEASE
We kindly request your cooperation in making sure that the items you choose to donate are in a condition that is sellable and can be of value to others. Therefore, we ask that you refrain from donating items that are broken, ripped, stained or soiled. We also request that odd socks are not included in your donations. While we admire the uniqueness of these single socks 😉, we are unable to sell them.

REFRAIN FROM BRINGING RECYCLABLE ITEMS
Please do not bring us recyclable items such as plastic, glass, metal, paper, encyclopedias, and non-working electronics. Please take these items to local recycling depots. Recycling can be costly for us, both in terms of time and wages. To make the most of your goodwill and our resources, we encourage you to responsibly handle your recycling needs separately from your donations. This small effort can help us focus our energies on processing sellable items. Please note, specifically, that we cannot sell old milk containers, sour cream containers, or jars that aren’t suitable for canning (with the exception of gallon-sized jars).

NO GARBAGE PLEASE
Also, it should go without saying, but no garbage, please! I’m sure we’ve all heard the saying, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Unfortunately, that saying doesn’t ring true here at Churches Thrift Shop. If it’s trash, we can’t sell it. We have no choice but to dispose of it, which adds to our garbage fees, leaving us with less to give back to the community. For more information about donating, please see our Donations page.

QUALITY IS OUR GOAL
Our goal is to offer quality items that are useful, appealing, and ready for a new home. By donating thoughtfully, you help us keep the store organized, efficient, and focused on items that truly benefit our customers and community. Your understanding and cooperation are invaluable to us as we strive to maintain the quality and purpose of Churches Thrift Shop.

THANK YOU
We are grateful for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming your donations that align with our guidelines. Thank you for being a part of our thrift store community and helping us make a difference in the lives of others! ❤️

We are delighted that Churches Thrift Shop has been featured on this week’s episode of the locally filmed History TV series Rust Valley Restorers!
Our amazing staff member Janet Meunier was cool as a cucumber as she guided two of the show’s cast members in choosing clothing to wear to a wedding.
The episode’s title is Happy Endings and it will be re-aired a few times over the weekend, so anyone who missed it can still catch it! Please check your local listings.
