Precious Items Found in Purse

A customer bought this purse at the thrift shop, and found what might possibly be precious items in the bag which had probably been forgotten prior to it being donated.
If this was your bag and you can specifically identify the objects, please message Stephanie Metcalf through Facebook and she would be happy to return those items to you!

This post has been edited since it was first published; it originally erroniously said the customer was our manager’s mom. Sorry for the confusion.

A Couple of Requests About Donations…

For safety purposes, when donating items, please do not put hard items in bags. Many of our staff & volunteers have been injured (albeit usually not seriously) from sharp or broken objects in bags. It would be greatly appreciated if only clothes were put in bags & hard items in boxes. Also, if it’s not too much trouble & you’re willing to do so, it would be very helpful to us if items were separated by category, like books in one box, housewares in another, etc.

Reminder About Donations

Just a reminder: While we are very grateful for the donations we receive and the generosity of our community, we respectfully request that only clean, working, sellable items be donated. I’m sure we’ve all heard the saying, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Unfortunately, that saying doesn’t ring true here at Churches Thrift Shop. If it’s trash, we can’t sell it. We have no choice but to dispose of it, which adds to our garbage fees, leaving us with less to give back to the community. For more information about donating, please see our Donations page. Thank you!
