Document: Churches of Salmon Arm Used Goods Society’s Response to COVID-19 Safety Protocols for Thrift Store Operation – Updated March 5th, 2021

Please be aware of the changes that have been made at Churches Thrift Shop due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

*Update as of March 5, 2021: With the continuing acceptance and adherence of the 6-foot/2-metre rule we are upping the maximum number of customers in the store at one time from 25 to 30.

*Update as of November 27, 2020: Customers age 12 and up are now required to wear a face mask in compliance with the order issued by BC’s Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry.

We have a staff member outside with hand sanitizer that we are asking customers to use before entering the store. There are hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the store for customer use and arrows on the floors and signs to direct the flow of traffic, so please follow the arrows as you shop.

We are also asking all customers to shop as quickly as possible and not remain in the store any longer than 20 to 30 minutes at the very most so that everyone will get equal opportunity to shop.

For safety purposes, the outside staff are setting aside all drop-offs so that our donations will be sitting for 48 hours minimum before being processed.

We truly value our customers and staff and really want to do our best to keep everyone safe and continue meeting the needs in our community as we do so.
