  1. I really appreciate the information. I went to the site and it is exactly what I’m looking for. Thank you very much.

  2. Hi Grant. Apparently, old 8-track tapes can be repaired and refurbished. I found a relevant video on YouTube. I haven’t watched the whole thing so I don’t know for sure if it addresses your specific issue, but it looks like it might provide some interesting info and instruction. Here’s the link: https://youtu.be/FYCrkiwhVPc

  3. Here is my two bits worth. I’m a senior who grew up in the 1950’s and loved the introduction of 8 track system in the 1960’s. Had an 8 track player in my home and car. That was 55+ years ago. I still have an 8 track player in my home but no longer in my car. I still have many 8 tracks that cross many categories of music from country to rock and my wife would be very happy if I was to get rid of my many 8 tracks. Once every 3-5 years I get an 8 track out and proceed to play it with hopes of listening to the entire tracks. Unfortunately the 8 track always breaks shortly after placing it into my 8 track player. Over time the tape has become so brittle that it simply breaks. So as much as I love seeing an 8 track player, I cannot bid on it as 8 tracks are no longer able to play music. If anyone has found a solution to this issue, I welcome to hear from you. However, if others have had the same experience as I have, I’m most interested to hear from you. It is a “groovy” time and peace out.

    Grant
